About Me

Hi everyone! I’m Rosie. Welcome to Knit & Stitch!

This business was born from a deep love of crafting and a desire to build a creative community. The story goes like this:

I moved to a new neighborhood. In order to make new friends, I asked my neighbors- “What would you like to learn? I knit, I crochet and I sew.” They chose knitting.

That night, my dining room turned into a classroom. My neighbors filtered in with excitement. Once I witnessed the delight in their eyes as they created their first scarf I knew my life was forever changed.

By empowering others to discover their own creative potential I discovered that I love teaching!

I firmly believe that your potential is limitless, and my own journey reflects this. From learning to sew during the pandemic to achieving recognition with sewing awards on the Sewing Pattern Review website in just four months (a story you can explore on my blog: rosiesewstoo.com), I’ve seen firsthand what’s possible.

I am all about self-growth and continuous learning. I am proud to be the only Palmer/Pletsch Certified Sewing Instructor in Virginia, and I am on track to become a Certified Knitting Instructor through the Craft Yarn Council.

When I am not studying, blogging, (sewing, knitting, or crocheting!) I am actively involved in the Northern Virginia Chapter of the American Sewing Guild by helping plan events with the rest of the Special Events Committee. I teach at Loudoun County Public Library, and I am delighted to partner with Suzzie’s Quilt Shop in Manassas, VA, where I teach classes as a Certified Sewing Instructor.

I find absolute joy in sharing my crafting skills with others.

Let me help you find your passion! I know you have it in you- let’s create something beautiful together!
